uuidはRFC9562（旧RFC4122）UUIDの作成に使用されます。バージョン14.0.0より前では、v3、v5、およびv6は外部出力バッファを受け入れていましたが、範囲外の書き込み（小さいバッファや大きなオフセット）を拒否しませんでした。そのため、呼び出し元が提供したバッファに対して静かに部分的な書き込みが発生する可能性がありました。この脆弱性は14.0.0で修正されました。

| Summary |
uuid is for the creation of RFC9562 (formerly RFC4122) UUIDs. Prior to 14.0.0, v3, v5, and v6 accept external output buffers but do not reject out-of-range writes (small buf or large offset). This allows silent partial writes into caller-provided buffers. This vulnerability is fixed in 14.0.0.
