概要

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

staging: fbtft: fix potential memory leak in fbtft_framebuffer_alloc()

In the error paths after fb_info structure is successfully allocated,
the memory allocated in fb_deferred_io_init() for info->pagerefs is not
freed. Fix that by adding the cleanup function on the error path.

概要

Linuxカーネルのstaging: fbtftにあるfbtft_framebuffer_alloc()関数に潜在的なメモリリークの問題が存在していました。fb_info構造体が正常に割り当てられた後、エラーパスでfb_deferred_io_init()によってinfo->pagerefs用に確保されたメモリが解放されない場合がありましたが、クリーンアップ関数を追加したことでこの問題を解消しました。

想定される影響 当該ソフトウェアが扱う情報について、外部への漏えいは発生しません。 また、当該ソフトウェアが扱う情報について、書き換えは発生しません。 さらに、当該ソフトウェアが完全に停止する可能性があります。 そして、この脆弱性を悪用した攻撃の影響は、他のソフトウェアには及びません。
