rsync 3.0.1から3.4.1において、receive_xattr関数はqsort呼び出し時に信頼できない長さの値に依存しており、これが受信側でuse-after-freeを引き起こします。被害者はrsyncを-X（別名--xattrs）オプション付きで実行する必要があります。Linuxでは多くの（しかしすべてではない）一般的な構成が脆弱となっています。Linux以外のプラットフォームではより広範囲にわたって脆弱性が存在します。

| Summary |
In rsync 3.0.1 through 3.4.1, receive_xattr relies on an untrusted length value during a qsort call, leading to a receiver use-after-free. The victim must run rsync with -X (aka --xattrs). On Linux, many (but not all) common configurations are vulnerable. Non-Linux platforms are more widely vulnerable.
