Summary

Linuxカーネルにおいて、以下の脆弱性が解決されました。batman-advでは、skbのテイルルームが不足している場合のOGM集約を回避します。runtimeでOGM集約状態が切り替わると、既存の転送パケットはpacket_lenバイト分のみ割り当てられている可能性があり、後続のパケットが集約のために選択されることがあります。この場合の追加操作はskb_putのオーバーフロー状態を引き起こす可能性があります。ターゲットskbのテイルルームが新しいパケットを収容できない場合、集約を拒否します。呼び出し元は追加するのではなく、新しい転送パケットを作成することにフォールバックします。

Possible impacts 当該ソフトウェアが扱う全ての情報が外部に漏れる可能性があります。 また、当該ソフトウェアが扱う全ての情報が書き換えられる可能性があります。 さらに、当該ソフトウェアが完全に停止する可能性があります。 そして、この脆弱性を悪用した攻撃の影響は、他のソフトウェアには及びません。

Summary

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

batman-adv: avoid OGM aggregation when skb tailroom is insufficient

When OGM aggregation state is toggled at runtime, an existing forwarded
packet may have been allocated with only packet_len bytes, while a later
packet can still be selected for aggregation. Appending in this case can
hit skb_put overflow conditions.

Reject aggregation when the target skb tailroom cannot accommodate the new
packet. The caller then falls back to creating a new forward packet
instead of appending.
