IBUS のデフォルト設定は、IBus.InputPurpose.PASSWORD が設定されていない、および GNOME 3 で使用される場合、入力されたパスワード文字を隠さないため、ユーザパスワードを取得される脆弱性が存在します。

Possible impacts 物理的に端末の操作が可能な攻撃者により、ロックスクリーンを読まれることで、ユーザパスワードを取得される可能性があります。

Summary

The default configuration of IBUS 1.5.4, and possibly 1.5.2 and earlier, when IBus.InputPurpose.PASSWORD is not set and used with GNOME 3, does not obscure the entered password characters, which allows physically proximate attackers to obtain a user password by reading the lockscreen.
