Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) merchant Java SDK および他の製品で使用される Apache Commons HttpClient は、サーバホスト名と X.509 証明書上の subject の Common Name (CN) または subjectAltName フィールドのドメイン名を照合しないため、SSL サーバを偽装される脆弱性が存在します。

Possible impacts 中間者攻撃 (man-in-the-middle attack) により、任意の有効な証明書を介して、SSL サーバを偽装される可能性があります。

Summary

Apache Commons HttpClient 3.x, as used in Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) merchant Java SDK and other products, does not verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName field of the X.509 certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers via an arbitrary valid certificate.
